Dr Miren Taberna received her medical degree at the University of Navarra in 2008. In 2013, she finished her specialisation in medical oncology at the University of Barcelona.
In 2012, she completed a two-month She made a fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Head and Neck Unit in Boston.
She currently works with UNIC and the Department of Medical Oncology in the Head and Neck Cancer Unit under the umbrella of a Rio Hortega-SEOM Grant (Spanish Public Health Grant). In addition, she collaborates as a co-investigator on numerous clinical trials involving head and neck cancer and is pursuing a Master of Molecular Oncology at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) in Madrid. She also collaborates with the e-oncología programme and has started her PhD to assess the role, prognosis and response to treatment of HPV in patients with oropharyngeal cancer.
