David Moriña Soler, Msc, PhD is mathematician and statistician. His area of interest is focused in mathematical modelling applied to health sciences, especially in the handling and analysis of longitudinal data, specifically time series data. He has broad experience in the design, development and analysis of clinical trials and epidemiological studies-working in several research centres, including the Technological Center in Nutrition and Health (CTNS) and the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL). He is currently working on Markov and microsimulation models applied to the evaluation of cancer treatments and diagnostic methods and as an associate professor for several statistics courses at graduate and postgraduate levels at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
