Yolanda Florencia is a laboratory technician specializing in pathology. She received her degree at the Lopez Vicuña Technical School in Barcelona, Spain.

She worked as a laboratory technician in pathology department at the Hospital St. Joan of Reus, Tarragona, Spain and later at the University Hospital of Bellvitge.

She currently works for the Epidemiology Department at the Catalan Institute of Oncology in the Infections and Cancer Laboratory. Her duties include microscope slide sectioning, staining and tissue embedding for national and international studies as well as collaborations with other groups of investigation within the institute. She also is involved in the determination of HPV DNA testing in the opportunistic screening of women in Catalonia, Spain, coordinated by the Epidemiology Department at the same institute, she also carry out the preparation and storage of blood and urine for further study.
